The driver typically leaves Zayed International, crosses toward Dubai on the main highway, then continues north on Emirates Road toward Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah. Al Marjan Island is the last coastal cluster; mainland RAK hotels continue beyond the island turn-off.
Allow roughly two and a half to three hours depending on Dubai through-traffic. This is not a hop you want to split across three taxis with resort suitcases. A single private vehicle keeps the party, bags and child seats together for the whole run.
